ABOUT ST JUST

The Store is in the heart of the typically small Cornish town of St Just, which since the end of tin mining has become a lively centre for artists. The many excellent pubs, cafes, shops and galleries are less than 50 yards from the cottage, yet it is also close to open countryside and is a mile away from the Cornish Coastal Footpath.

St Just is the most westerly town in England, just five miles from Lands End and seven miles from Penzance.

St Just is in an area of outstanding natural beauty and has recently been awarded World Heritage Status for the contribution it has made to industry through mining. There are many excellent relics of its history throughout the area.

The Heritage Coastline is truly spectacular. England’s only cape, Cape Cornwall, is a ten-minute walk. Here there is a shingle beach with rock pools and swimming area. Nestled on the top of the cliffs is a golf course, open to non-members, with indoor swimming pool, spa and restaurant. The views are dramatic and on a clear day the Isles of Scilly can clearly be seen in the distance.

Beach lovers need travel no further than Sennen Cove just four miles away, with its glorious golden sands it is the ideal place to swim and surf.

Land's End, Geevor Tin Mines, The Minack open air theatre at Porthcurno, St Michael’s Mount, Mousehole and Penzance are within easy reach. St Ives and the famous Tate Gallery is just 13 miles away along the spectacular coastal road.
